The Amsterdam Consultancy Group (ACG) is an integral part of the MAA, connecting students in the final phase of their studies that act as student consultants and helps companies in the field of marketing, management, consultancy, and communication. ACG offers its members a chance to step beyond the classroom and work on real business challenges as student consultants.

As a member of ACG, you’ll collaborate with a variety of organizations, delivering fresh insights and strategic solutions to contemporary issues. The committee independently selects its projects, allowing members to engage with notable companies. Companies that preceeded you were: University of Amsterdam, Royal Flora Holland, Nestlé, Make a Wish Foundation, the Child Phone and Joe and the Juice. This hands-on experience not only enriches your academic journey but also strengthens your professional network.

ACG tailors its consulting approach to each organization’s needs-whether it’s contributing to a brainstorming session, addressing specific strategic issues, or leading comprehensive consulting assignments. For larger projects, ACG extends opportunities to MAA members through a selection process involving CV screenings, motivation letters, and interviews.

Chair

The Chair, besides working as a student consultant, ensures the smooth operation of all committee activities, supporting members in their roles and maintaining high-quality deliverables. They lead meetings, act as the primary contact between the committee and the board, and keep everyone motivated and involved. The Chair plays a crucial role in achieving the committee’s goals and maintaining team spirit.

Vice-Chair

The Vice Chair manages financial tracking, including payments from companies and the committee budget, and handles the registration and communication with student consultants. You maintain contact with the committee members involved in cases, coordinating their roles and keeping them informed. Proactive and supportive, the Vice-Chair also assists in drafting contracts and contributes ideas to the committee’s efforts.

Marketing

The Marketeer is responsible for creating and managing promotional content for social media to showcase achievements, attract companies, and engage organizations. The role involves planning posts, designing banners, creating brochures, and developing a marketing strategy to support the committee’s goals.

2X ACQUISITION

The Acquisition role is crucial for securing consulting assignments by actively reaching out to companies and managing all communication with them. You are responsible for generating leads, contacting potential clients, and promoting ACG’s services to secure cases, allowing the committee to perform their tasks. Acquisition team must be proactive, use available resources, and employ strategic approaches to build and maintain company relationships.
