As an EMC Engineer within Large Project Netherlands, you play a crucial role in the safety and reliability of our high-voltage infrastructure. You ensure that electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) is guaranteed, so that our installations function optimally without disruptions or interference. Are you ready to make an impact?

How do you contribute to the energy of tomorrow? As an EMC Engineer, you are responsible for the electromagnetic compatibility of high-voltage installations and networks. You work on large-scale projects and ensure that our infrastructure meets the highest technical standards.

In this role, you are also responsible for:

• Designing and testing EMC concepts, including performing analyses and simulations.
• Verifying and monitoring EMC guidelines within ongoing and future projects.
• Collaborating with engineers, project managers, and external parties to integrate EMC requirements into the design and execution of projects.
• Advising on EMC issues and acting as the primary point of contact within the project team.
• Promoting innovation within the EMC field by working on new technologies and improvements in EMC solutions.
• Conducting quality controls and ensuring compliance with national and international standards.

You will be part of a team of 5 EMC engineers within the Engineering department of Large Projects Netherlands, where expertise, collaboration, and innovation are central. We’re at the forefront of building new onshore electricity projects in the Netherlands. By working together and adapting the existing grid, you’ll play a vital role in shaping the future of our energy infrastructure. Your work on the 380kV network directly impacts the electricity supply for millions of people in the Netherlands.

Jouw profiel & achtergrond

At TenneT, we are looking for professionals (national and international) who contribute to the energy transition with technical expertise and analytical insight. We expect you to have the right experience and skills to make a valuable contribution to our team and our mission.

• A completed higher education degree (HBO or WO) in Electrical Engineering, Energy Technology, or a similar technical field.
• At least 5 years of experience with EMC and high-voltage networks.
• Knowledge of relevant EMC standards and regulations.
• Experience with simulation software such as Matlab and ATP for EMC analysis and modeling.
• You are analytically strong and can take a helicopter view when it comes to technical issues.
• You are accustomed to or enjoy stepping away from the drawing board and working more in a reviewing and coordinating capacity.
• A proactive and communicative attitude, enabling you to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
• Willingness to be present at project sites and test facilities for inspections and quality control.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license (Category B).

We’re all about flexibility! You can work remotely or from our office in Arnhem (usually 2 days per week). Depending on the project, you might also find yourself in one of our other offices or out on site.

• A permanent contract for 32-40 hours per week with a two-month probation period.
• A salary in scale 8: €4,151 – €8,197 gross per month, with 8% vacation pay and a 6% year-end bonus (according to the TSO Collective Labor Agreement).
• At TenneT, you build a solid pension through ABP, with us paying 70% of your pension contribution.
• 43 vacation days per year.
• All mentioned employment conditions apply to a full-time position, unless stated otherwise.

• Je maakt kennis met twee toekomstige collega’s: jouw leidinggevende, directe collega’s of de recruiter. Na een paar dagen bellen we je op om onze ervaringen te delen.

• Het tweede gesprek

  In dit gesprek gaan we wat dieper in op de match. In dit gesprek maak je kennis met twee andere collega’s. Je leert elkaar beter kennen en gaat meer inhoudelijk de diepte in. Wij zijn graag transparant en eerlijk in wat het werk inhoudt. Is het een match? Dan gaan we over naar het aanbod.

• Optioneel voor leidinggevende functies

  Voor leidinggevende functies vinden we het belangrijk om meer te ontdekken over jouw capaciteiten, drijfveren en kwaliteiten. Dan nodigen we je uit om een assessment te doen. Je hoort vooraf wat het assessment inhoudt en hoe het werkt. De resultaten mag je natuurlijk altijd zelf inzien.

• We zullen je snel een goed aanbod doen. Je krijgt een salarisvoorstel en een overzicht van ons arbeidsvoorwaardenpakket. Klaar om je handtekening te zetten?

• Met een ondertekende arbeidsovereenkomst op zak is er nog één stap te gaan: de pre employment screening. TenneT heeft de maatschappelijke taak om Nederland 24/7 aan te houden. We moeten risico’s op verstoringen zoveel mogelijk uitsluiten. Daarom vragen we van elke medewerker minimaal een Verklaring Omtrent Gedrag. Als blijkt dat er geen bezwaren zijn tegen je aanstelling, staat niets jouw start meer in de weg. Voor sommige functies is een VOG niet afdoende en volgt een uitvoerige screening.

• Nadat alles rond is ga je op de eerste van de maand starten met jouw onboarding bij TenneT. Twee dagen met al jouw nieuwe collega’s om te ontdekken wie TenneT is en hoe wij werken. Je leert alle ins & outs kennen. Daarna ga je verder met onboarden binnen je team.
